Glam Eye Watch: Cerified Naija DEEVA, Goldie Harvey Unveils 2012/2013 Zodiac Calendar

We have to give it all to GOLDIE.The Nigerian singer/performer always know how to step up the game.
Popularly mocked as the Nigerian Lady Gaga, Goldie doesn't care and still creates images as she wishes and adore.
We love this calendar and we think Goldie deserves some stars. What do you rate her?
“Since I believe in the stars, the movement of the planets and how it affects our environment, moods and eventually our personalities, I decided to create a Zodiac calendar because I want to share my perception of the zodiac signs and how it affects our personality traits with my fans. A zodiac calendar has the same days, weeks and months as a normal calendar, the only difference is that your months are guided by the astrological sign,  that is Aries, Taurus, Gemini, all the way to Aquarius and Pisces as opposed to January, February, March to December. Aries is the first star sign in the astrological calendar hence, why I released in the Aries Month. What I aim to achieve via my Zodaic calendar creation is to celebrate the strength and positive qualities of each star sign. So when people wake up in the morning, and they look at the day’s date, they can also glance through their zodiac personality traits/characteristics/strengths and harness these qualities in helping them achieve their goals for the day, week or year. I see it as a functional, character building yet entertaining piece of art.” - With love from Goldie.

News We Like: Nigerian Musicians, 2face Idibia, Sound Sultan and Lami Philips

UN Envoy Lami, UN Ambassador of Peace Sound Sultan and Africa’s finest 2Face have collaborated to put out the single Act 4 Africa. The trio were recently appointed Oxfam spokespersons to call on Africans across the continent to action to ensure that the famine experienced in the Horn of Africa recently is the last famine Africa experiences.

As a precursor to a series of public events to raise awareness with Africans everywhere on the importance of addressing Africa’s food security crisis, they have pooled together their communal influence on a song – Act4Africa – which they hope will serve as a call to action.

The initiative is part of Oxfam’s global campaign that aims to empower men and women living in poverty to claim power in the way the world manages land, water and climate change, so that they can grow or buy enough food to eat – now and in the future. In Nigeria the GROW campaign is implemented under the auspices of Voices for Food Security (VFS)—a platform of 15 Nigerian Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and small-scale farmers associations across the country.

Currently 13 million people in the Sahel region are faced with a serious food crisis that threatens their lives and livelihoods. If early and effective action is not taken, it may prove as devastating and costly as past regional food crises in 2005, 2008 and 2010.
Act 4 Africa was co-written by the artistes, produced by J. Sleek and mixed by Indomix.”
