We were not surprised to hear the Rihanna and River Island collaboration. Rihanna's style is completely in line with River Island's image, and we are sure most of Rihanna's mega fans regularly hit up RI looking to emulate her look anyway. To me this pairing seems perfect - like Kate Moss for Topshop.
We are not done loving and rocking Rihanna for Armani Jeans/Lingerie Collection and here comes Rihanna For River Island. Who sees a Rihanna fashion line coming soon. Just maybe she will cait 'Fenty' or 'RihannaNavy'. We dont know yet but we will definitely let you know when we do.
In February, whispers began circling when RiRi was spotted at the company's headquarters. By March, she hinted at a collab to come, telling Ryan Seacrest: "I'm really pursuing a fashion line of my own. I want to design. This is also a road that I want to earn it, so I'm working with designers and companies that I respect. I want people to really trust me before I just say 'buy it, because it's mine.'"Rihanna says...
To confirm this collabo, Rihanna says
"River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family-run business also really appealed to me," explained Rihanna in a press release. "I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes!"
We can't wait to see Rihanna's collection in Spring 2013.
