Mila Kunis covers the August 2012 issue of one of our favorite magazines in the UK, ELLE UK. We are really pleased to see Mila on the cover. The sixties-inspired styling is brilliant - see the newsstand cover HERE
Although we think it's a shame the Black Swan actress looks so grumpy. Let's hope she cracks a smile in the accompanying editorial... And in other news this issue of ELLE comes with free St. Tropez gradual tan. Aha! I see you placing your order already.
Mila who graces the cover of the August issue of Elle UK in a gorgeous Dior dress, is currently starring in the number one movie in the country. Ted, about a lewd and lascivious talking teddy bear and the first feature from her “Family Guy” director Seth McFarlane, costars Mark Wahlberg (her 2nd film with Wahlberg after Max Payne) and bested a gaggle of male strippers, a Pixar princess and Sir Ridley Scott for the top spot last weekend.

While she’s primarily known for her work on the small screen in both “Family Guy” and “That 70’s Show”, Kunis has been increasingly visible on the big screen lately. She won raves, and was Golden Globe nominated, for her performance in Black Swan opposite Natalie Portman (some have said she was robbed of an Oscar nod) and last year appeared with Justin Timberlake in Friends with Benefits which was miles ahead of that other similarly themed movie, No Strings Attached, which starred Portman and her “That 70’s Show” costar Ashton Kutcher, who is also her current rumored FWB. Phew! We need a scorecard.
Kunis opened up to Elle UK about the paucity of dating opportunities for a single woman in ‘the biz’. “Is a guy going to come up to me and ask if he can take me out on a date? Where can I go and have this date? I can’t go anywhere! My house, his house…So what do you do? I’m trying to be like a normal girl and a single girl… but the concept of being single and in my position is just not workable. I couldn’t even go on a date if I wanted to!”
She just wrapped filming on Guillaume Canet’s Blood Ties with Clive Owen which will hopefully add to her dramatic cred. As she told Elle, Kunis says she thinks women in comedy are not always respected by men. “You have to poke fun at yourself in real life, so why not do it on screen while you’re at it? I’ll always be the first to laugh at myself. I know there is a small, weird group of people who don’t like women being crude, but they really do need to get over that. Even after a film like Bridesmaids, which I loved, a lot of men still don’t see women as funny. Now that’s f***ed up.”
What do you make of Mila Kunis' ELLE UK covers? Do you plan to buy the August issue?
