Emerging Ghanaian fashion designer Abaya Dake recently launched his Sankofa Collection. Sankofa in traditional Ghanaian Akan language translates in English to “go back and get it” (san – to return; ko – to go; fa – to look, to seek and take).
Abaya Dake studied at the Vogue Syle School of Fashion & Design in Ghana and is currently pursuing an advance creative and design skills at the Lindenwood University in Missouri. Dake took a bold step to launched his Sankofa by showcasing a five capsule collection. Prints infused white, red, turquoise blue, orange and cream colours.
