Brooklyn born Maya Lake studied African - American cultures and uses Ankara fabric from West Africa.  

Boxing Kitten is inspired by Vintage clothing from the 50's and 60's and has been featured in magazines like Vogue, been seen on red carpets, also celebrities including Solange and Beyonce Knowles and Fergie have been spotted wearing the brand.

For the Fall 2012 collection, pieces are strapless jumpsuits worn over turtlenecks, along with prim mini dresses and capri pants splashed in azure tones. There are also peplumed jackets over pencil skirts tinged in turquoise, mandarin, and eggplant, along with frocks in berry tones appealingly beckon colder temps, and make us want winter to come sooner than later.

The collection is vibrant, edgy and contemporary and can go from day to evening cocktails.
