Fashion News: House of Nwocha Presents YOSHINAKA, The Warrior Princess Lookbook

We first saw this collection at the AMFW 2012 runway where House of Nwocha was the queen of velvet. HON pieces were very strong and eccentric. Now we know why. The new collection is a tale of strong women of old from Far East Asia.

With a lookbook, HON presents to us Yoshinaka, the Warrior Princess. Yoshinaka was a warrior princess in Japan. She was named that because she was an exceptionally beautiful woman who had very charming features. She was a remarkably strong archer and as a swords woman who was able to confront anything on foot and horseback.

Modeled by Face of Sleek 2012 Winner, Alexandra Nwokedi, photographed by Obi Somto, makeup by Jide Adedeji and Styled by Obinna Omeruo and Seun Asaju assisting, House of Nwocha presents the modern Yoshinaka through her pieces. A strong, almost gothic woman, not afraid of her body and its magic. Creative director, Ugonna, made use of soft black velvet, black spiral French lace, feathers, and a rich golden French sequence lace to tell a cohesive fall story.
