Black Sunday for Nigeria. Plane Crash + Bomb Blast

Sad day for Nigerians.
Our heart goes out to all the family and friends of those we lost in the Dana Airplane Crash in Lagos State and Church Bomb blast in Bauchi State. May their souls R.I.P and may God grant their families the solace to bear their loss.

The Bomb blast which occurred in the early hours of Sunday at the Living Faith Church, Bauchi is said to have had over 12 dead and over 40 wounded and under treatment. The suicide attacker, who was also killed in the blast, targeted worshipers of Living Faith Church, located near the airport in Bauchi, as they left the church after service.

While theDana plane which crashed into 5 buildings(one uncompleted) in a residential area of Iju-ishaga, Egbeda area was coming from Abuja, the Nation's capital to Lagos, the nation's economic center is said to have had 153 passengers(manifest link here)

According to the NCAA, there were no survivors on the plane and the number of casualties from the sight has not yet been confirmed as people were burning at the scene. It is said that the same plane had landing gear problem in Uyo a couple of weeks back. As it gave signs, but the airline didn't do anything about it. Also, the operation  manager had complained that the plane had issues but the Indian on ground manager said it must fly. According to CNN weather forecast, geographic elements not responsible, it was definitely a technical problem. This tragedy would have been prevented.

President Goodluck Jonathan has declared a three days mourning for the ones we lost today. As the Nigerian flag will also be flown at half mast for these three days.

In the midst of all these, I plead with Nigerians to drop all the analysis, intellectual egos, blame game and  pray for Nigeria. Pray for everything.
