Glam Eye Watch: David Beckham Topless for Elle Magazine July Issue. Making Him The First Man to Grace the Cover

Soaking wet, dripping water and emerging from a swimming pool, David Beckham looks HOT as he graces the cover of British Elle Magazine. The footballer who was recently the first man to be on a chanel ad has now become the first solo male to grace the cover of Elle UK magazine's July issue, posing topless for the publication.

Becks has graced the cover to celebrate the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games, which are due to begin on 27th July. See more below;

Despite shedding his clothes for the shoot, David went on to tell the mag that he gets a bit bashful at times, stating: "How would I sum myself up? I don’t know, I prefer other people to do that. Erm… a little bit shy."

Speaking of the decision to feature the footballer, Elle editor-in-chief Lorraine Candy stated: "David Beckham is a national hero. He is an icon and Elle is known for featuring icons on its cover.

"This is a first for us on the newsstand and I believe he is loved by men and women alike. Anyway, who doesn't want to see a picture of one of the world's most handsome men on the front cover of a magazine? It will be a collector's issue."
