Jezreel designs just introduced their 2012 lookbook with an array of African inspired handbags. The range of essential handbags includes personalised Yoruba names after traditionally strong women in the founder of the label’s life, they include; Bamike, Ebun, Miss Kuku, Nifemi, Busola, Deola, Joke, and Agbeke.
Jezreel Designs (JD) comes from Hebrew word “God plants”. All materials for the handbags are proudly sourced and made locally in Nigeria. The label also prides itself in creating timeless handmade pieces, this ensure exclusivity and the individuality of each piece.
Founded by Abiola Egbeyemi in 2008, JD has a fascination with African craftsmanship and a motivation by the passion and skills of the artisans. The aim to create luxurious accessories pieces that both reinforces and celebrates individuality while focusing on the signature emphasis of assortments of geometric shapes, colours and silhouettes all the time providing an iconic contemporary twist.
Abiola Egbeyemi marries culture, style and function while still respecting the craftsman as JD is based on tradition passed down through generations and is largely inspired by the women in her life.
