All eyes were on POISA’s new collection as it took centre stage at Arise Fashion Week not so long ago. Their new lookbook entitled, Urban Warrior also reflects what we saw on stage as it is full of bright lights, bold colours and a glimpse into the future with an assortement of edgy accessories.
POISA is a Kenyan fashion label created by designer, Patricia Mbela. POISA, from the Taita language of Kenya means “To Make” or “To craft”, which is exactly what the brand does. They pride themselves on incorporating inspiration from their African roots with a contemporary twist. Their unique Afrocentric style on beautifully crafted products brings a fresh new look to African fashion creating, a style that absolutely FABulous!

Poisa captured our attention with Bold prints, bright colours, and futuristic accessories. Also blowing away the audience with her array of peculiar accessories from gas goggles/ gas masks and dramatic head pieces.
Poisa crafted harem pants, tube tops, tuxedo jackets and dramatic capes and coats from only the finest fabrics. With a mix of traditional batik prints with soft chiffons and classic velvet. True to her couture aspirations, the last look featured a stunning wedding gown with a beaded back and swatches of batik.
