News We Like: Nigerian Model, Adaora Akubilo featured in Sports Illustarted 2012 Swimsuit Edition

Nigerian-American model Adaora Akubilo is one of the lucky models who got a coveted spot in Sports Illustrated’s 2012 Swuimsuit Edition.

Adaora Akubilo is a 24 year Nigerian-American model from Windsor, Connecticut. Getting a spot in Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition is every model's dream, so this is a big deal.
 

The careers of supermodels and superstar like Tyra Banks and Beyonce have been elevated because of sports illustrated. Adaora was photographed by Walter Iooss Jr. in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. Nigerian supermodel, Oluchi has been featured in several editions of SI’s swimsuit issue. 

Model Kate Upton is the cover girl for the 2012 issue. In 2007, Adaora participated in the NBC Reality Show, “Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Model Search” and although she didn't win she is now featured in the magazine.
