Genevieve Nnaji rocks Dolce & Gabbana, meets Christian Louboutin & hangs out with Rosario Dawson at the 6th Annual Raisa Gorbachev Foundation Gala

(Culled from Bellanaija.com)
Over the last few months, we’ve spotted Nigerian star Genevieve Nnaji rocking various fabulous pairs of shoes by Christian Louboutin. In September 2011, Genevieve attended the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation Gala, an annual event held by Patron Mikhail Gorbachevat the beautiful Stud House, Hampton Court in the UK. The event was brimming with stars including Stephen FrySir Ben KingsleyAnna FrielRosario Dawson and Gene’s favourite shoe designer Christian Louboutin.

The white-tie Raisa Gorbachev Foundation Gala charity event was set up in 2006 by Mikhail Gorbachev in memory of the former Soviet president’s wife who died from leukaemia in 1999. The purpose of the event is to raise money for the battle against childhood cancer. Over the years, the foundation has raised millions for the cause.

The Pet Shop Boys sang after the dinner and fashion designer Vanessa G gave a sculpture to be auctioned alongside works donated by Antony Gormley, Sir Peter Blake & a neon sculpture by Tracey Emin which raised £70,000.

More than £1.1million was raised at the charity event. The evening was co-hosted by Evgeny Lebedev and Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter.

Genevieve also donated towards the cause as she bid and won one of auction lots on the night. She was dressed in a stunning floor-length scarlet A/W 2011 gown designed by Dolce & Gabbana. The Italian designers dressed her especially for the event and the gown was accessorized with a Dolce & Gabbana leopard print beaded clutch.

2face reveals the real reason behind the break up of the 'Plantashun boyz' group. (story by Jumoke Ilori, culled from the FAB BLOG)

The Plantashun Boyz was a very successful Nigerian hip hop band, which had three band members; Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo (popularly known as Blackface), Innocent Ujah Idibia (best known as 2face Idibia) and Chibuzor Orji (Best known as Faze).

The band decided to split up in 2004, sadly going separate ways to launch solo careers. 2Face is probably the only member of the band to have achieved the most awards e.g. The MTV Europe Music Award, Mobo, Kora, Hip-hop World Awards and others.

In a recent interview with Nigeriafilms, 2face Idiabia opens up on the real behind their break up.

He said “In life, people come together and at times depart each other’s company. Even marriages break up. Yeah, in life, there are different decisions, different things happen. Basically for me and the rest of the group, we just went solo”.

“There wasn’t any quarrel or clash of egos as such. Just the fact that Nigeria was not too conducive for a group to survive for long like the long surviving Irish pop group U2.Let me just put it like that. We came together and at a point had to go our separate ways due to the normal conflicts between people. In life, people must disagree.  Husband and wife must disagree. Like the African proverb says, even mouth and tongue do quarrel. For us as a group, due to our individual differences, we could have some clashes”.

“Maybe today, I oversleep and one would come and wake me and tell me ‘Hey why are you still sleeping? Don’t you know we have somewhere to go? Maybe, we were supposed to go somewhere and Faze would come late and there would be small quarrel or maybe we quarrel over which song to do and which one to drop”.

“It’s the normal squabble you will expect from when two or three people come together, as at that time, I don’t think we had a leader. All of us were independent”.

“All of us had an opinion and all of us respected each other’s opinion. Yeah it was a case of three captains in a ship but everybody still respected each other’s view. When it came to song writing, sometimes I would write a song and I would bring it for the group or maybe we would sit down together and we would write the song together or two of us can write together”.

“If one person writes a song and it sounds good to the rest of us, everybody would accept it. But most of the time we wrote together”.

“Normally, it starts with hearing the beat and all of us would start to flow according to the beat or we would just choose a topic and start writing on it, but later we go to the studio to do something on it”.

“Our first album as a group was ‘Body and Soul’ which did tremendously well in the market”.

“It was wonderful. It was a huge success. I still remember a line like: ‘Baby, don’t you know that I just can’t get you out of my mind”. Overall, I did three albums with the Plantation Boys”.

“I was the first person that went solo. I just woke up one day and told them straight off that I wanted to go out there and do my own thing. As to be expected they didn’t take it lightly but in the end everybody saw reason and we had to part. We were all talented bunch and we felt we could survive individually. All of a sudden I was on my own, a couple of labels were talking to me and I was also negotiating with a couple of labels.

“Eventually, Kenny’s Music emerged as the one prepared for what I had in mind, so I worked with Kenny’s Music”

“My first album with Kenny’s Music was Face to Face. It was a huge album. That was the album that produced ‘African Queen’. It was one of the most successful albums in the history of Nigerian music. I can say that the success impacted positively on me and on ‘Kenny’s Music’ as a business. We had a contract and they just fulfilled their contract” 2face said.

E!'s Giuliana Rancic reveals She has Cancer...

Giuliana Rancic said Monday that she has breast cancer, having discovered a tumor during a mammogram while undergoing another round of in-vitro fertilization in an effort to get pregnant.

The E! News and Style Network host, 37, made the emotional announcement on NBC's Today show yesterday. She will undergo surgery this week and then have six weeks of radiation therapy. The cancer has been detected early, and the prognosis is good, she said. (Ladies, please go and check your self. The earlier it's detected the better your chances of survival).

Rancic was going to wait until 40 to have a mammogram, but her IVF doctor suggested she have one now. She says she will still push to have a baby, following one IVF attempt that ended in a miscarriage and a second that didn't work.

"I still want this baby ... because this baby has saved my life," she said. "I truly feel God was looking out after me … If I had gotten pregnant later down the line, I could have been a lot sicker."

She also says her husband, Bill Rancic, has been "unbelievable. The best thing about Bill is, he lets me cry when I want to cry."

Coincidentally, Rancic recently filmed some on-the-street interviews bust breast cancer myth for the non-profit Bright Pink as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which marks its 25th anniversary this year.
We are wishing G a quick recovery as she fights this cancer.
Will always keep you updated...

Rick Ross is feeling better, makes it to Memphis for his Wingstop opening...

It took two seizures and one concert cancellation to get Rick Ross out at Memphis to open his franchised Wingstop.
DJ Khaled and Gucci Pucci went down to Memphis, Tenn to kick it with Ricky.  And they all snapped a pic in front of Rick's newest business--Wingstop.  Khaled tweeted:

My brother ROZAY!! IS GOOD!!!

Rozay also pulled out of the North Carolina A&T homecoming concert he was slated to perform in on Saturday night. Rick Ross' Delta flight to Memphis from Miami Friday afternoon was grounded after he lost consciousness and had a seizure.  Then after a posting a video saying he was fine, and hopping on a private jet, he had another seizure mid-air and had to be grounded in Alabama. No official word on his health other than what Khaled has said.

No more emergency landings for now. According to TMZ, Rick Ross took his friend, DJ Khaled's bus. Ross who was hospitalized in Alabama Friday -- was picked up by his friend DJ Khaled who transported him to Memphis in his luxury tour bus for the opening his chicken wing joint last night.

Sources close to Ross tell us ... Khaled has offered to take Ross back to Atlanta in the bus, so he won't have to risk another in-flight emergency.

We're told the journey home is scheduled to begin at some point today.

How To Give your Man "A LAP DANCE"

Ladies.. If you have ever wondered what makes your man go to the strip club every week, well maybe its because you havn't ever given him a lapdance... so you might want to start now so he can make it rain on you instead of the strippers at the strip joints.. here are a few tips to get you started.
Before You Start...
Choose your song — something slow but sexy (think anything by Kings of Leon) will do the trick. And don't feel obligated to make your lap dance last an entire song. Usually 60-90 seconds is all you need (and all he can take before he bursts through his pants). Then put a chair against the wall — you'll need to use the wall for support — and have your guy sit in it so that his legs are spread open. You'll want to stay within that triangle-shaped space between his thighs as you try these moves:

The Sexy Lean
Stand between his legs and lean you upper body forward, with your back arched and your butt up in the air, so he gets a hot view of your body. Put your hands on the wall above him, or rest them on the arms of the chair for support. Then tease him by inching your girls closer and closer to his face — but don't let him touch — or dip forward even further and rub them against his chest .

The Lotion
For this one, start a little further back, right between his knees, so he can see everything you're doing. Take your hands and slowly start to rub your boobs, like you're putting on body lotion. Touch yourself like you would want him to touch you — trail your hands down to your lower abs just above your hot spot, work your way back up to your chest, or turn around and massage your butt. The key is to go in slow mo, so he can imagine having his hands all over you.

The Hip-notizer
Your hottest seduction tool is your hips, and this move is super easy to master. Slowly start swaying your hips from side to side, and then move them in a figure eight. Up the ante by touching yourself as you do it — this is a prime time to show off your "lotion" skills.

The Cowgirl
Turn around and hover your butt just above his crotch (you can put your hands on his thighs or the arms of the chair for balance). Move your butt in circles, like you're painting his package with your cheeks. Then switch to an up and down motion, like you're riding him in reverse cowgirl. To really make him pitch a tent, look back at him as you grind against his body.

ladies, after these moves, your man wont be visiting any strip clubs for a very long time.. i can guarantee it.

Bradley Cooper & Jennifer Lopez 'Casually Dating'

Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lopez are not a couple just yet ... but a source close to the pair says they are indeed "casually dating."
The two went on a dinner date in New York City last month. They had not been spotted
out again until yesterday -- when a photo surfaced of Bradley Cooper driving an SUV and a woman who certainly looked like JLo ... covering her face in the passenger seat.

According to our sources, the woman in the photo is definitely JLo. We're told the two enjoy each others company but are keeping things simple for now.

So while they aren't boyfriend/girlfriend yet, our sources say "they are definitely dating."
