THE "FAKE" CRAZE

What is this craze for fake products all about please? Fake bags, fake shoes, fake clothes, fake accessories like sunglasses and wristwatches. And people are falling for it. The fake louis vuitton monogram bags craze has being on for years in Nigeria, and then their recent leather designs has topped the list, then the Hermes bags craze and then there's the new craze for acetate frames by Louis Vuitton, especially "THE EVIDENCE",

Hence the need for every tom and harry to have it. Oh yes! That sunglasses with bridge and tips enhanced with metal inlay. I am sure you have seen them around, common among artiste on and off red carpets and night crawlers in clubs/parties. A few weeks back, someone "pinged" me to say she had this evidence aviator for sale,i asked how much and she said N25,000. I replied "lol" and a picture of me with the original one

(No i dont own one,i went window shopping in LV shop when i was in Dubai and tried them on then my hand found itself holding my phone and FLASH.... i have a picture.lol). Anyways, she said wow! that's nice, you have one already,i said no dear just a picture of me in one, just wanted to show you that your own is aba version, and she said noooo someone brought it from somewhere somewhere and i said "Babe,if those glasses were original, they won't cost N25,000 simple!
The annoying part is they actually spend much on these items, money that could buy another designers' product. Must it be Gucci,Prada,Louis Vuitton,Hermes,Chanel etc etc? Like when the time is right to afford original is coming,BE PATIENT! The popular leather Monogram Vernis bag is about $2,183(N327,500)

but the fake is sold for N50,000 in Nigeria. Why spend N50,000 on something you are very aware is not original? Trying to impress the layman? I will rather spend my money on a good GUESS,DKNY

or a "no name" designer bag than buying a fake designer Bag amd walk around confidently.
Wearing expensive clothings and accessories don't make you a fashionable person. You are just rich,or rather you can afford expensive items. Some designers' products are mainly upmarket(designed for people who have a lot of money). Did you get that? not for fashionable people, but for rich people. So don't kill yourself wearing fake of those peoples life if you can't afford original.
Like the popular saying goes "CUT YOUR COAT ACCORDING TO YOUR SIZE".
