Musings of a Naija Deeva at The Calabar Festival 2011(Day 6)

I am still in Lagos. I just want to be in Calabar right about now. And no thanks to @CalabarFestival on twitter keeping me updated on the on-going activities in Calabar.
Tonight is a night to laugh! Comedy night with I go die, Gandoki, I Go save, Fada Itosky, Emeka Smith...music by Flavour, Presh, Speedyman.
Laffmatazz opened the stage with some artist known as Don smith on stage....dude pulled off his clothes and began scratching his butt!
The next artist that got on stage was Murphy J, imitating Ja rule, i wonder if thats his real scratchy voice, or will he have sore throat after this?
Aboki for christ got on stage saying "if God talk say as u dey dance na so u go dey waka, hmmm how those wey dey dance alanta, etighi, etc go dey?" And the crowd is already laughing out loud. After some few minutes of the crowd laughing their a**es out, Eugena comes on stage bringing sexy back...
The Etighi dance is the new cool. Whaaat? Everyone is dancing Etighi all around the world. My friend who just came in from Jand was teaching me, how did she learn and me I am here forming Lagos.
Okay let's leave that for another day.
Comic Hezekiah comes on stage right after the etighi contest. Now there is Etighi kekenapep, Etighi satin , efang, ikong etc and more to come. Is Etighi the new alanta? Well, give it after this festive season and y'all will be dancing to it.
