Brad Pitt shocks fans with statement "I will retire at 50". That's 3years from now?

 The 47-year-old Oklahoma native told Australian TV program ‘60 Minutes’ that he would retire in 2014 when he would turn 50.
Brad Pitt who is Hollywood’s Angelina Jolie’s long-time partner says he won’t be stepping away from the camera entirely as he will be taking up a couple of jobs behind the scene.
I’ve really enjoyed the producer side and getting stories to the plate that may have had a harder time otherwise. And getting stories to the plate that might have had a tougher time otherwise. I have gotten away with a few things in writing and I have been pissed off about a few things. How’s that?’, Brad tells 60 Minutes’ host, Tara Brown.
Pitt also said his children have influenced the roles he accepted during the latter stage of his career as he has featured in 0ver 65 movies has received two Academy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations and winning one.

Though Pitt said his days in front of the camera are counted, adding that he hoped to switch his focus to producing movies, he has clarified his comments saying that he hasn't put 'an exact deadline' on retirement.
While promoting his latest film 'Moneyball,' Pitt said his retirement plans were not as definite as they were perceived to be, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"I wasn't putting an exact deadline on my expiration date, but I just see it coming and I do have an interest in the producing side," The New York Post quoted him as saying.

He said his movie-star clout could allow him, as a producer, to tell "complex stories that might have difficulty getting made in the current system".
